Privacy Policy

Your data, plainly.

Effective date: July 18, 2026

Blind Note (blindnote.xyz) is a news and editorial website. We do not offer user accounts, and we do not ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal information to read the site. This policy explains what limited data is handled when you visit, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Nothing you type. There are no sign-ups, comment forms, or newsletter fields on this site today. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Aggregate usage counts. When you open an article or tap a reaction (🔥 😤 💀 👀), we increment an anonymous counter for that article in our database. These counters are pure totals — they are not linked to you, your device, or any identifier.

Local storage. Your browser stores small flags on your own device so we don't double-count your views and so the site remembers which reactions you've tapped. This data never leaves your browser, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects device and usage information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We also use Vercel Analytics, a cookie-less, privacy-friendly analytics service that reports aggregate page views without tracking individual visitors across sites.

Advertising

We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. These cookies allow Google to show you ads that may be relevant to your interests.

Who we share data with

We don't sell data — we have no personal data to sell. The site runs on infrastructure providers that process technical data (like IP addresses in server logs) on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), and Google (analytics and advertising, as described above).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we don't maintain user profiles, in most cases there is nothing for us to look up — but if you believe we hold data about you, contact us and we'll help.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
